If the typical post break-up cathartic clean out of things can have a silver lining, Bondi Beach local, Dave Robledo found it in the accidental birth of his hat brand - BxmBxm (pronounced BamBam).

And it all started with a hat gifted to him by an ex-girlfriend.

Although beautiful as it was, he took this plain old hat and burnt it! He ripped it, threw it into the ocean, ran over it with his motorbike, splattered paint on it, cut holes into it, and then burnt it a little more before stitching it back together with a needle and thread he found in an old drawer.

Walking along the promenade of Bondi Beach wearing this repurposed hat, a stranger noticed it and asked to try it on.
After hearing about its story, they quickly asked,
"Would you create one for me?"
